My Santa stocking isn’t up yet, but I’m getting my list ready early.  It may give you guys some ideas.  Once again I feel blessed with good health, loyal friends and a plenty of laughter.  However when asked, as no doubt I will be, …”What do you want this year?” I’ll have my list ready!   Read the rest of this entry »

Online News

As promised, here’s my most trusted (and entertaining) source for world news commentary.  When no others are to be believed it’s my go-to site. When traditional sources don’t hack it or the issue is just too bizarre to be believed, I look forward to the spin I get here.  Don’t you agree, sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying. Latest Kokomo CD Pleases This Dylan Fan

June 9th, 2008 Kath Posted in Work Life Balance, Internet Marketing No Comments »

Kokomo BandOne of the best breaks from business is listening to New Zealand’s best blues band, Kokomo, at any New Zealand music festival or while driving or fixin’ dinner for those of us lucky enough to have their CDs.  Crowds love Kokomo!

Kokomo lovers delight. Their latest CD, In the Well, is available now. It’s a double treat! Bob Dylan songs played in mature Kokomo style. Readers know I’m a die hard Dylan fan who feels like a Kokomo groupie.

I admit, I’m partial to this album because my husband, Matt Hennessy, plays drums on 8 of the 12 songs.  Get yourself ready for a business break.  Listen, buy, take a break.

On the internet marketing side of things, see the good example of  great customer service cdbaby offers for safe, easy buying online. Read the rest of this entry »

Incomplete Without Once

May 10th, 2008 Kath Posted in Work Life Balance No Comments »

OnceIf you still haven’t seen the movie Once as I suggested a month ago,  treat yourself. Take a break from your business work and see it.   Once gets my vote for Best Movie and Best Soundtrack of my year.

I’ll even say your movie collection is incomplete without it. I even heard a ‘mature’ male recommend it to another ‘mature’ male so it isn’t just a chick-flick.

The soundtrack is feel-good pop folk with Irish soul.  Let me rave on about it and give you a link to where you can hear some tracks, see a clip and buy it. It’s a gem.

Note from the End of the World

Glacier in El Calafate PatagoniaFrom 1 January I’ll be heading to Antarctica but not before a few days exploring Tierra del Fuego Patagonia, before boarding our cruise at Ushuaia, “The End of the World.”  I hear there are lots of tourist attractions sporting this name.

Post cards, burgers, glasses of Malbec, a train and even an outhouse at the end of the Carretera Austral, the Southern Highway that starts in Alaska and runs down the Americas until it reaches “The Outhouse at the End of the World.”
