Web Page of the Month Award June 2008 Bream Bay
The Bream Bay community website has smartly used target marketing in their promotion of their yearly Winter @ Waipu festivities.
Smart because they use short descriptive file name following their website URL in all their print ads.
Such internet marketing techniques wins them recognition for Web Page of the Month June 2008. Congratulations. Let’s look at what they did.
Each winter the community puts together an array of activities to foster tourism and local buzz during the traditionally slower season. The list of 40 plus activties is listed in a print magazine with far more details on their website.
The adverts direct people to their website for more information breambay.co.nz/winter. Brilliant!
By using the file name ‘winter’ in the print ads, the funding committee can evaluate the return on investment (ROI) value of their print advertising. Periodically after the print material is out there, they can monitor their hosting stats for Entry Page traffic. /winter would be the Entry Page.
Smart advertising. Just takes a tiny bit of planning. For more details read my article on using file names in targeted ads.
