Latest Kokomo CD Pleases This Dylan Fan
One of the best breaks from business is listening to New Zealand’s best blues band, Kokomo, at any New Zealand music festival or while driving or fixin’ dinner for those of us lucky enough to have their CDs. Crowds love Kokomo!
Kokomo lovers delight. Their latest CD, In the Well, is available now. It’s a double treat! Bob Dylan songs played in mature Kokomo style. Readers know I’m a die hard Dylan fan who feels like a Kokomo groupie.
I admit, I’m partial to this album because my husband, Matt Hennessy, plays drums on 8 of the 12 songs. Get yourself ready for a business break. Listen, buy, take a break.
On the internet marketing side of things, see the good example of great customer service cdbaby offers for safe, easy buying online.

Derek Jacombs, Grant and Sonia Bullot and Nigel Masters form the heart of the band and this album augmented by accomplished guest musicians who had a great time laying down tracks. You can hear it was a labor of love for all.
With my Matt on drums Hwy 61 really builds into to a full on rocking blues gem. It’s one of my all time favorite Dylan songs. But it’s the yearning, bleeding Trying to Get to Heaven that pleases me most.
In the Well is available in record stores near you (hopefully) or here via safe and easy online sales from cdbaby. It works out cheaper than from most NZ shops. You can listen to tracks and hear what I mean. This is a choice CD of our beloved Kokomo doing our beloved Dylan!
Overall, my take is In the Well is the best mixed Kokomo CD. Hearing more trumpet and other solos add richness and Derek’s voice is better than ever. What more can I say… take a balance break from business. Go get it now. ![]()
