Soon Another Night in Bed with Jack Reacher
For those of you hotly awaiting Lee Child’s next Jack Reacher book, Nothing to Lose, it is now available. I’ll tell you how to get Jack delivered for some quiet time together.
I’ve turned so many friends onto my badass hero Jack after being introduced myself last year (thanks Karen). I’ve got whole families now reading Jack.
Here are some goodies for you. You can order, read an excerpt or see a US tv commercial, all here.
Why I’m a fan. Jack makes dust of anyone who disturbs his sense of fair play. He does all the stuff you’d love to do but are too civilised. He’s king of the bad asses, but has an honourable code of ethics you relate to. I kid you not. Jack gets normally peaceful nonviolent types applauding with delight as he snaps the neck (or worse) of anyone to cross the line, his line of course.
Become a fan. Order Now Nothing to Lose .
Read below what the Lee Child’s newsletter told me last week. This link will take you to an excerpt and US tv commerical. Poke around a bit and sign up for the author’s newsletter.
NOTHING TO LOSE
Two small towns in the middle of nowhere Colorado: Hope and Despair. Between them, nothing but twelve miles of empty road. Jack Reacher can’t find a ride, so he walks. All he wants is a cup of coffee. What he gets are four hostile locals, a vagrancy charge and an order to move on.
They’re picking on the wrong guy.
Reacher is a hard man. No job, no address, no baggage. Nothing at all, except hardheaded curiosity. What are the secrets that Despair seems so desperate to hide?
With just one ally—a mysterious woman cop from Hope—and many enemies, Reacher goes up against a whole town, hunting the rich man at its core, cracking open his terrifying agenda, asking the question: Who has the edge—a man with everything to gain, or a man with nothing to lose?
If you prefer to buy through Amazon, get Nothing to Lose here.
Birthday party? Oct 29 2008. You’re invited.
To Jack addicts, in Northland, I’m organising the second annual Jack Reacher birthday party at a cafe yet to be announced. Oct 29 2008, Jack turns 48.
Bring token gift and prepare a toast. Last year three (nameless) fans attended at Nectar on Bank St. Two absentee toasts were added to honour the merciless yet lovable Jack Reacher. Last year Jack got a couple travel toothbrushes to keep him road ready.
RSVP in the Replies below.
We do love our Jack.

I am writing an article on the vast appeal of Jack Reacher to Lee Child’s readers. Can you email me why you like Reacher and what he means to you? Thank you. Thelma
