Oogle Google’s 9th Birthday Doodle
Clever Web Design is great model for all of us. Happy #9 Google.. please let there be many more.
Google celebrated their 9th birthday 7 September and displayed their yearly doodle most of September.
Oogle with me over the clever design work of Dennis Hwang, Google’s head webmaster and graphic designer in charge of holiday and birthday versions of the iconic Google logo. He’s able to capture the essence of the country or cultural event…a talent to inspire web designers and graphic artists around the world.
Check out his clever graphic work and let me know your favs. His work celebrates the local world of Google users around the world…even the Rugby World Cup. You can click through and read more about Dennis.
Dennis the delightful.
Dennis, your work makes me smile. No wonder you’ve won award after award.
I’m one of those Google fans who use Google as my homepage. Every time I open my browser and see the familiar logo adorned with some new twist I know the world is right today.
Being the rugby fanatic that I am I was so very pleased to see the familiar logo with rugby ball in honour of the World Cup. Yes Google, you show your true international spirit by not getting stuck on only round ball sports. Well done guys.
Wikipedia tells us that American born Dennis Hwang (Hwang Jung-mok)
who moved to Korea at age 5 to return years later to Tennessee, works today as Googles main webmaster in charge of all Google’s webmasters. About 20 percent of his job is designing the logos and doodles for special holidays around the Google globe.
Thank you Dennis for intriguing us with your spin on the world around us. Northland web design take heed.
