Your Computer is Not a Typewriter for PC and Mac
Do you enter two spaces after a period.? Wrong. That’s a wee sign an amateur or non-pro trained typist put website together.
Unlearn the little typing habits that betray you. Your computer is NOT a typewriter. In today’s business world we are expected to produce professional looking documents on our own. Years ago I found an easy little booklet to help. We don’t have the luxury to send them out to the typesetter who in the ol’ days put all the books together.
You may be like the millions writing for publications today…even some people within professional graphics companies…who make the common ‘typing’ errors that say - this is not the work of a professional. This is amateurish. Oh no, you don’t want that.
A quick read that’s indespensible for anyone creating documents yourself. Make your brochures and any online as well as offline writing look like a professional publisher did the writing.
The Mac is Not A Typewriter, 2nd Edition by Robin Williams (2003).
I first read Your PC is not a Typewriter (1991) by Ms Williams some years ago and have referred to it again and again and again.
It’s a must little booklet. I’m pleased to share my little treasure with you.
A version for both the PC user and Mac user. This time you have a choice. Yeh.
