Business Website Advice

Applause, applause to Marie Price, small business owner of Mighty Mushrooms for getting it right on the homepage. 

Within seconds of landing on the page anyone sees what the whole business is about - growing and supplying oyster mushrooms. 

Demonstrating the A+ process (Act, Analyse, Adjust),  Mighty Mushrooms just finished the Act stage, going live in July 2007.  The owner did her homework in planning a homepage that quickly told visitors what the business does.  No doubt about. 

Applause, applause goes to web designer Lindsey Alexander from NZ Webpages, Kerikeri who worked alongside Marie to collaborate on the plan.

The home page merits my A+ Web Page Award because it has these elements

• great photos show the mushrooms . It’s not only words telling 
• navigation from menu on the left
• navigation from the centre from 3 main sections of the website
• Calls to Action in the prominent central position
• Enough languge for the human visitor as well as search engines
• leaves a visitor no doubt you are growers and suppliers
• what else do you see?

Well done - now onward to Analyse and Adjust the website over the next months/years. Meanwhile listen to our applause!
